Software Product Tester

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in feature design review, functional specifications review
  • Write test plans which define the strategy and test cases for new features and subsequently execute those tests, investigate test failures, log defects and automate the tests
  • Review other test plans and provide required feedback
  • Use software engineering skills to review other engineer’s scripts for automation
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Initiate and participate in organizational efforts to improve overall group productivity and test effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • MSEE/CS combined with 3-4 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 4-7+ yrs related experience
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in layer 3 networking protocols, including hands-on experience configuring switches and routers
  • Experience writing test scripts
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight
  • Self-motivated team players
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Takes initiative and can work independently within parameters given
