Senior security executive from Cisco/IronPort continues expansion of sales organization and fills key position in management team

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — June 16, 2009
– Solera Networks, the leading provider of network forensics products and services, announced today that industry veteran Michael Cadle has been named Vice President of Sales. As part of Solera Networks’ recently closed Series B round of financing the company is adding key executive talent to support the growth of sales and increased customer demand. Cadle will be located in the Washington, D.C., office where his team will support enterprise, higher education and public utility markets, in addition to the Federal sales division.

Cadle brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing expertise in the network security and infrastructure industries. He delivers a wealth of knowledge of the public sector plus an impressive track record of sales success in the enterprise, education and health care markets. His leadership contributed to the successful outcome of three previous startup companies; most recently IronPort Systems and ArrowPoint Communications, both previously acquired by Cisco Systems, and Network-Alchemy, which was acquired by Nokia. Cadle will report directly to CEO Steve Shillingford.

“Enterprises realize that network forensics is an essential component of a comprehensive information assurance strategy, and Solera Networks’ products are uniquely capable of providing this solution in today’s network environment,” Shillingford said. “Michael has the perfect combination of executive sales experience, network security knowledge and leadership at wildly successful technology startups to help make Solera Networks a leading vendor in the network forensics market.”

In addition to its presence in Washington, D.C., Solera Networks has also moved into its new corporate headquarters to support overall company expansion. The new office space is four times the size of its former location and will host sales, marketing, R&D and finance operations. The company’s growing customer base includes Global 2000 enterprises and large domestic and international government entities.”
